Sectors

At the Malum Institute we work in a variety of fields and sectors in order to provide humanity with a full comprehensive and holistic covering of the dangers present in out today's. People both young and old, big and small, can feel protected and reassured that we work tirelessly to thwart evil in whatever form it may take. Here is just a sample size the few industries that Malum Institute is involved in:

  • Our oldest line of work, Malum Institute provides a number of medications that are compatible with both standards and biomorphs. We are the leading group in detecting and eradicating early onset of the night pestilence, allowing individuals to live long and healthy lives free of horror.

  • Here at the institute we believe that we are more than just the sum of our parts. Our organization provides cutting edge biomorph alterations and augmentations sourced from animals across multiple genera with a near zero chance of antibody rejection.

  • Our newest foray against the threats of destruction, we at the institute are committed to rooting out evil to the utmost power. Teaming up with local law enforcement and the sector-wide governance, the Malum Institute harbors its own highly trained security forces whose sole task is the termination of MMEs.

  • Our institute works hand-in-hand with dozens of farms and food producers to cultivate quality products bolstered with vitamins and supplements that have been researched to be effective in bolstering defenses against mutagenic influence.

  • To be in the business of protecting life is to not only look after the wellbeing of the body, but of the spirit as well. The Malum Institute has partnered with various music labels, game developers, artists, and producers to offer support to creatives that we feel champion the immutable voice of humanity.

  • Know thy enemy and know thyself, for the war of attrition starts in the minds of men. We here at the Malum Institute seek to bolster the awareness and prevention of the XIT pathogen through our books and videos that are digestible and comprehensive to the masses.

Divisions of the Malum Institute

Malum Institute is structured into multiple divisions, each responsible for a critical aspect of research, containment, security, and technological advancement.

Research & Development Division (R&D)

The Research & Development Division (R&D) serves as the intellectual heart of Malum Institute, overseeing the creation of new technologies, biological enhancements, and kaijin countermeasures. This division houses cutting-edge laboratories, resonance testing chambers, and biomechanical research facilities, where scientists, engineers, and field specialists work to push the boundaries of human evolution, containment strategies, and combat readiness. Their projects range from developing teratomorphic enhancements for POMME Units to refining resonance-based weaponry and kaiju containment methodologies.

A significant focus of R&D is the study of pneuma resonance, integrating biological research with advanced field manipulation technologies. They work closely with Malum’s Medical & Teratomorphic Studies Division to refine biomorphic augmentations, ensuring that teratomutagenic enhancements remain stable and that new generations of field operatives can safely integrate with pneuma-reactive warforms. Additionally, the division develops resonance-stabilizing implants, counter-resonance shielding, and kinetic waveform disruptors to protect operatives from high-pneuma environments. As the global landscape of kaijin warfare continues to evolve, R&D remains at the forefront of scientific advancement, ensuring Malum Institute’s continued dominance in the field of controlled evolution and countermeasure deployment.

Medical & Teratomorphic Studies Division (MTS)

The Medical & Teratomorphic Studies Division (MTS) is responsible for advancing medical treatments, conducting mutagenic research, and studying the effects of teratomorphic transformation on human physiology. Their work encompasses virology, bioadaptation, and regenerative sciences, focusing primarily on the XIT Pathogen (Night Pestilence) and its impact on infected hosts. MTS plays a crucial role in classifying and containing new mutations, ensuring that contagious outbreaks and unstable transformations are quickly neutralized.

Beyond studying pathogenic mutations, MTS also focuses on integrating controlled teratomorphic enhancements into human hosts. Their cellular research teams work in tandem with R&D, refining the compatibility of kaiju-derived biological augmentations with human physiology to ensure that POMME Units remain stable and combat-effective. Additionally, MTS provides extensive rehabilitation and monitoring programs for enhanced operatives, assessing the long-term effects of transformation on neurological stability, metabolic adaptation, and pneumic resistance. As the primary medical and bioengineering division within Malum, MTS is dedicated to ensuring that humanity can harness the power of teratomutagenic evolution without succumbing to its destructive consequences.

Security & Field Operations Division (SFO)

The Security & Field Operations Division (SFO) is responsible for deploying Malum’s elite forces, ensuring the safety of research sites, operational territories, and civilian populations under Malum jurisdiction. This division encompasses three specialized branches, each with its own distinct combat philosophy and operational approach. Together, these branches form Malum’s primary line of defense against kaijin incursions, rogue biomorphic entities, and external threats that challenge Malum’s control.

SFO maintains a highly structured training regimen, selecting only the most capable operatives for specialized augmentation programs. Each division—E.R.I.S., AEGIS, and ORDO—develops unique combat methodologies, allowing Malum to maintain a multi-faceted approach to kaijin extermination and containment. From biomorphic frontline combat to cybernetic warfare and resonance manipulation, SFO ensures that Malum maintains operational superiority in every battlefield environment.

Kaiju & Xenopathogen Containment Division (KXC)

The Kaiju & Xenopathogen Containment Division (KXC) is tasked with studying, containing, and neutralizing the ongoing threats posed by kaijin mutations and the XIT Pathogen. This division oversees quarantine sites, biological containment units, and emergency response teams, ensuring that outbreaks are swiftly contained and eradicated before they escalate into regional disasters.

KXC research teams analyze kaiju remains, extract viable biological material for research, and track the environmental impact of kaiju decomposition on human populations. Their work in epidemiology, genetic stabilization, and anti-mutagenic development is critical to preventing XIT-based infestations from overwhelming civilian regions. KXC also collaborates closely with Malum’s medical divisions, seeking to develop long-term countermeasures to the unpredictable evolution of the XIT Pathogen.

Public Relations & Psychological Conditioning (PRPC)

The Public Relations & Psychological Conditioning Division (PRPC) is dedicated to maintaining clear communication, public safety awareness, and internal training initiatives to support Malum Institute’s ongoing mission. As the primary liaison between the Institute and the general public, PRPC is responsible for disseminating critical information, managing public outreach programs, and ensuring that communities remain well-informed about kaijin safety protocols and emergency response measures.

Through a combination of educational campaigns, internal briefings, and strategic media engagement, PRPC works to ensure that the public understands the importance of Malum’s containment and research efforts. Their role extends to employee development, psychological wellness programs, and operational preparedness training, ensuring that all personnel are equipped with the mental resilience and crisis management skills necessary for high-risk environments. By fostering a culture of safety, awareness, and professional excellence, PRPC reinforces Malum’s commitment to protecting human life and advancing global security efforts.
